
Rebecca Evans
Development Associate
Rebecca is currently the Campus Sustainability Coordinator for Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. She earned her BA and MS in Environmental Studies from the University of Lynchburg and Virginia Commonwealth University, respectively, and a campus leadership certificate from the University of Vermont. At Ithaca College, Rebecca develops integrative sustainability content for undergraduate students and works toward institutional climate goals. Her research interests include the intersection of social justice and climate movements, in addition to federal and international environmental policy ethics. Aside from her work in academia, Rebecca also advises the Ithaca, NY chapter of the Sunrise Movement, advocating for youth political action and involvement, and serves on the Steering Committee of Get Your GreenBack Tompkins, a community campaign to decrease carbon emissions and create a socially just, local economy. Prior to moving to New York, Rebecca was involved in EFI’s work with Sustainable Societies, SemSA, and Sustainable RVA. In her current role at EFI, Rebecca supports the program development and fundraising efforts in the development team.
