Environics
Environics is the study of conditions, both tangible -- what we can see, hear, taste, touch and smell, and intangible what we feel, believe, and care about and the decision-making systems we use. Through education that integrates an understanding of our tangible and intangible world, it becomes possible to improve the human condition while ensuring the vitality of the natural world.
Environics examines the sum effect of these natural and human forces that determine the quality of our environment, including the physical sciences, social and economic systems, and spiritual traditions.
Environics is not derived from any single political, cultural or spiritual tradition. At root, all traditions share a common environic foundation our conditions are shared and our aspirations for peace, health and prosperity are universal.

What is
the purpose of Environics?
The purpose of environic study is to develop the
ability to ask the right questions in order
to
make decisions that are appropriate for
people, place, purpose, and time.
Environic study develops the ability to recognize
the whole amid the pieces.
This leads to a radically different attitude toward
the world -- that we have a common responsibility
for something larger than ourselves.
