The Steward School
Cary Jamieson joined The Steward School as the Director of the Bryan Innovation Lab in May of 2013. Previously, she served over 15 years in the education arena in both higher education and professional training. She worked as the program coordinator of the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainable Design program at the University of Richmond and as an Education Solutions Representative for Ascent, a division of Rand Worldwide in Charlottesville, VA. Cary earned her B.F.A in fine arts and a minor in archeology from Longwood University. She holds a certificate in grant writing management from the University of Richmond and a certificate in historic garden preservation from the University of Virginia. She currently is completing her Masters in Liberal Arts with a focus in sustainable practices in the landscape at the University of Richmond. Cary facilitates and directs the Sustainability and Nature Institute, a summer graduate program for teachers at the University of Richmond. She also serves on the board of directors of the VCU Rice Rivers Center and James River Green Building Council.
