The world’s problems are growing with every day that passes. Cultural groups are more adversarial, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening, and the health of our natural environment is deteriorating, but these problems are reversible. If we are to succeed, however, we need a new, shared vision.
Mission
EFI’s mission is to be an agent of change, moving people from destructive to constructive social, economic and environmental practices by providing education that motivates people to engage in common purpose for the attainment of sustainable societies.
What is EFI
The Environic Foundation International (EFI) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Corporation in the United States founded in 1970 to promote better environic conditions on a global scale. EFI is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
EFI promotes the study of conditions, both tangible -- what we can see, hear, taste, touch and smell, and intangible – what we feel, believe, and care about and the decision-making systems we use. Through education that integrates an understanding of our tangible and intangible world, it becomes possible to improve the human condition while ensuring the vitality of the natural world.
The Board of Trustees of the Environic Foundation International is comprised of immensely talented individuals, assisted by a diverse, international Board of Advisors—each helping to ensure we achieve our mission to develop educational programs that empower the transition to more sustainable societies.
A variety of distinguished partners work in collaboration with EFI in the development, promotion and distribution of education materials.
