Robert D. Kuzelka

Bob Kuzelka formerly served as Director of the Environmental Studies Program and is Associate Professor Emeritus in the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he was a full time faculty member for 25 years. His professional experience includes work as an architect, a planner, and a policy coordinator on the staff of the Nebraska State Office of Planning and Programming (now the Governor’s Policy Research Office).

Mr. Kuzelka’s expertise in natural resource management spans community, regional, state and national levels. His research and service activities have included the relationship between climate change and groundwater for the U. S. Global Change Research Program, the Missouri River ecosystem and Nebraska’s natural resources districts. He has been designated Soil and Water Conservation Steward by the Governor of Nebraska, Groundwater Guardian by The Groundwater Foundation and earned the Teaching Award of Merit from the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture, among other honors, for his dedication to wise resource management and environmental education. He holds degrees in Architecture and Community and Regional Planning and conducted research in Town and Country Planning at Sydney University in Australia under a Fulbright postgraduate Fellowship.
